Life Catch Up

4 Jun

Lots happened in May, and I was too busy recovering from Greek Easter to blog about it. Here’s a quick recap of what’s being going on in Kefiverse:

MamaKef met JetSet and I in the city for a weekend of Denzel (go see A Raisin in the Sun!), Daniel Boulud, and selfies:

The Family Kef just moments before an usher admonished us for “photography in the theater.” Does it really count if your mother-of-a-certain-age insists on it? I think not.

The “us-ie”

After that great weekend, we rolled right into another — because KMBGKef GRADUATED from Georgetown University! I could not be more proud of my brilliant, resilient, amazingly-hard-working best friend.

Technically, she has one measly-little class to finish before she is officially KMBGKef, BA– so before we stomp all over that seal, we celebrated by raising (several) glasses to her.

photo 5-3After everyone in my life had something exciting happen to them, every pregnant woman in the Washington, DC area delivered their baby at my hospital, so I worked a crazy marathon stretch and then slept for three days. When I woke up, I was on a boat with KMBGKef, CuseKef, and BFKef.

KMBGKef and I tried to shock the boys by recounting tales of our youth, but CuseKef ended up the big winner in the shocking story contest — though I cannot for the life of me remember what he told BfKef and me to make us look like this:

Aw, best post ever! (granted, I might be slightly biased…)

FYI, that final story was of the throwing-change-at-another-driver variety.

We keep having the best months ever, I’ll keep having the best posts over.

OH YES! How could I forget?

  1. May is Over, and Here’s a Super-Long Post to Prove It Was Awesome | Cooking Up Kefi - June 2, 2015

[…] Last year I took May off because all the Greek Easters were so exhausting that MrKef and I ate peas for a month— this year, I was too busy to blog (or cook, for that matter) because I was sharing amazing moments with some of my favorites. Here’s a not-so-quick recap of the last 6 weeks or so. Tomorrow we are easing back into the cooking world with a super easy kale-cabbage salad! […]
